TrainerRoad will not interact with head units including (but not limited to): Garmin Edge 520, Garmin Edge 820, Garmin Edge 1000, Garmin Edge 1030, Wahoo ELEMNT, the Wahoo ELEMNT Mini, and any other head units.
TrainerRoad will not interact with fitness watches including (but not limited to): Garmin Vivofit series, Garmin Vivosmart series, Garmin Vivosport series, Garmin Fenix series, Garmin Forerunner series, Fitbit Versa, Fitbit Iconic, Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Alta, Fitbit Ace, Fitbit Flex, and any other fitness watches.
The reason why TR doesn't connect to any of these devices is because head units and fitness watches are receiving devices.
Receiving devices simply connect with and record data from your cycling equipment such as heart rate monitors, speed/cadence sensors, power meters, and smart trainers.
You'll want to connect all of your cycling equipment directly to TrainerRoad. In other words, TrainerRoad can take the place of your head unit and fitness watch.
If you're connecting over an ANT+ connection, you can pair your cycling equipment to both TrainerRoad and your head unit/fitness watch at the same time, if you so desire.
Note: If you're pairing via a Bluetooth connection, you'll need to only connect your cycling equipment to TrainerRoad. Bluetooth equipment can only pair to a single receiving device at a time.
Check out this section of our Help Center for more information on connecting devices.
