What are Personal Records?

Whether it's an outdoor ride or a TrainerRoad ride, you can earn Personal Records (PRs) for both All Time and specific seasons. You'll know when you've earned a new PR when there is a gold trophy icon at the bottom of the workout card as seen in the image below. 

When drilling into the workout, you'll be able to see how many season or All Time PRs were achieved. In the example below, the rider hit 92 Personal Records towards their Road 2019 season. 






Why Do I Have So Many PRs?

The number next to your trophy is how many PRs were achieved during the ride. PRs are different for every type of rider. For example, sprint riders will be interested in PRs for 30 seconds or less, while an endurance rider will want to see PRs for 10, 20, or even 30 minutes. The PR chart covers all of this giving you the option to view the PRs that mean the most to you. 


PR Breakdown

0 - 5 Minutes - Every second can be a PR

5 - 30 Minutes - Every 5 seconds can be a PR

30 and above - every 30 seconds can be a PR

As you can see, there is a ton of opportunity to hit a new PR. Therefore, don't be surprised if you have a ride with a large number next to the PR trophy. That's a good thing!
