Identifying Your inRide Power Meter
The Kurt Kinetic inRide is a power meter that attaches to any Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer. The inRide will not work with other trainers.
It's important to note that there are three generations of the inRide sensor. The generation you have will affect how it interacts with TrainerRoad.
- To confirm the generation of your inRide, follow the instructions listed on this page.
inRide 1
- The inRide 1 is only compatible with the TrainerRoad Legacy (AIR) App via a proprietary version of Bluetooth.
- Here's a link to download the TrainerRoad Legacy app.
inRide 2
- The inRide 2 is compatible with the regular TrainerRoad app via Bluetooth 4.0.
- Learn more about Bluetooth Smart and TrainerRoad.
inRide 3
- The inRide 3 is dual-band and compatible with the regular TrainerRoad app via both Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+.

Troubleshooting
inRide Doesn't Pair to TrainerRoad
If you're having problems pairing the inRide, it may not be working correctly. To reset the inRide, remove the battery and put it in backward for at least three seconds. After this is done, put the battery back in the normal way, attach it to the trainer with the indentation on the sensor lined up with the magnet on the trainer roller, and try to pair it with TrainerRoad.
Battery Life
The inRide will stay paired and "awake" while TrainerRoad is running. To save battery life, close TrainerRoad after your workout or unpair the inRide.
