How To: Pair Your Stages Power Meter Using Bluetooth 4.0
TrainerRoad will collect and display power data from all models of Stages Cycling power meters using either ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart (4.0). Learn more about ANT+ connectivity. Or, learn more about Bluetooth Smart connectivity.
How Your Stages Measures Power on TrainerRoad
Unlike some power meters, the Stages does not take power measurements from both the left and right legs. Power is only derived from the left side. That power is doubled and displayed as a complete reading.
Keep in mind the single-leg measurement style of this power meter when considering single-leg (ILT) drills. Since power is only derived from the left pedal, riders will not get any readings during right-leg-only intervals. If you're using your Stages to measure cadence, the workout will automatically pause during right-leg-only drills if you have the auto play/pause feature turned on.
