Adaptation checks analyze your training plan for any workout adaptations that need to be made. It ensures your training plan is always up to date, and your training is optimized for your goals.
Where To Find Adaptations
Whether on the website or the mobile and desktop app, adaptation checks are automatically run when you open up TrainerRoad for the day. Once open, the adapt check prompt will display towards the bottom of the screen.

How to Accept or Deny Adaptations
Once the check for adaptations is processed, and adaptations are found, you can view all pending adaptations by clicking "Preview".
Select preview to view recommended adaptations.
Scroll through to view recommended adaptations for upcoming workouts.
To apply the adaptations to the plan, select "Accept Adaptations". If you decide not to adapt your plan, you can also select "Don't Adapt My Plan", and the adaptations will not be applied.
If there are no adaptations to be made, then it will also be displayed within the adaptation check.

How are adaptations determined?
Why aren't my workouts adapting?
- Workouts will only be adapted within the current training block of the plan (for example, Sweet Spot Base I).

If I edit my training plan by adding or removing workouts, will adaptations still take place?
If you simply add workouts to your calendar within the timeframe of your training plan, these will not be considered part of the plan and will not be adapted, but their completion will still affect your Progression Levels.
